Surrounded by her loving family, it is with great sadness the family of the late Geraldine Mary (nee Murphy) Goobie, age 71, from Queen's Cove, announce her peaceful passing at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on May 10, 2015. Predeceased by her parents, Michael and Sarah Murphy and husband, Ira Goobie. She leaves to mourn with heavy hearts, her fiancé, Dolph Gosse; son, Ron (Barbara); daughters, Louise (Paul), Sheila (Dave) and Karen (Vince); grandchildren, Wendy (Adam), Chad (Lindsay), Adam, Stephen (Ryan), Victoria, Brianna, Ryan and Rhea; brother, James (Florence), sisters, Bernice (Michael) and Dorothy; brothers-in-law, Roy (Jessie), Melvin, Dennis (Linda), Richard (Patsy), Gordon (Trudy) and sister-in-law, Evelyn also a large circle of nephews, nieces and other relatives. Rested at the Queen's Cove United Church from where the funeral service, officiated by Rev. Gneid Walsh, took place on Wednesday, May 13, 2015.
