Ronald Stafford

It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Ron Stafford of Fredericton, NB on Thursday, May 14, 2015. He was born on September 15, 1925 in Fredericton, NB and was the son of the late Charles and Alice (Brewer) Stafford and husband of the late Betty (Hay) Stafford.
Ron was an outdoorsman at heart. He loved to hunt and some of his favorite times were spent fly fishing on the Miramichi. It was through this love that he became a lifetime member of the Miramichi Salmon Association. Ron was also a WWII Veteran and during the war he was in the Commonwealth Air Training Program. Later he was employed with Estey and Curtis (which became Eastern Drug) and following that he went to work in management at the Department of Health in various roles. Above all else, Ron will be remembered for his love of family. He immensely enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, David Stafford (Darlene) of Toronto, ON; his daughter, Brenda Leckey (Rob) of New Maryland, NB and his grandchildren (who meant the world to him), Kate, Tori and Abby Stafford and Jennifer and William Leckey. Ron will also be missed by all of his friends and several nieces and nephews.
Ron was the last surviving member of his family. He was predeceased by his parents; two infant sons, Robert and Gary Stafford and his siblings, Harold Stafford, Verna Ells and Alison Stafford.
