It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother Florence Theresa Dauphney (Corbett) on Wednesday May 13th 2015 at the Victoria County Memorial Hospital in Baddeck surrounded by her loving family.
Born in New Waterford, December 23,1926, she was the daughter of the late Florence (Hall) and late John Corbett. She was the last member of her immediate family.
Theresa was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was a special friend to a lot of people, always making sure anyone who stopped had tea and were fed before they left, along with a story or two.
Survived by sons; David (Paula), Frank, Sheldon (Maxine), Ross (Liz), Glenn (Janet), Donnie (Melody), Blaine (Cheryl) and Trevor. Daughters; Linda (Jerry), Diane (David) and Leeanna (Paul). Special nephews Mike and Harold Corbett and special niece Annie MacInnis.
Besides her parents Theresa was predeceased by the love of her life David J Dauphney; son Thomas; grandson Andrew; brothers John, Bernard, Angus, Bernie (infancy); sisters; Catherine, Myrtle, Beatrice and Mary.
Visitation will be held at St. Ann's Bay United Church, Cabot Trail Sunday May 17th from 3 - 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St Ann's Bay United Church on Monday May 18th at 3 p.m. with Hazel Jane Morris officiating. Private family burial and committal to follow at St. Peters Parish Cemetery Ingoinish Beach with Father Lazarus Guria officiating. Arrangements under the direction of MacAskill's funeral home in Baddeck.
Family flowers only.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Victoria County Memorial Hospital or charity of one’s choice.
