John 'Jack' Hussey

It is with deep sadness that we the family announce the passing of Jack Hussey on Thursday, may 14, 2015 at the Colechester Hospital, Truro.
Born in Donkin, he was the son of the late William and Jenny (Davidson) Hussey.
Jack worked as a Social Worker until he retired as Director of Social Services for Cape Breton County in 1995. He served on the board of Cape Breton Homemakers since it's inception. He was an Elder and active member of Bethel United Church, Marion Bridge. He was an outdoorsman with a great love for nature.
Jack is survived by his loving wife, Evelyna (Tingley); his son, Shawn (Sheri) Hussey, Cole Harbour; his two precious grandchildren, Nathan and Jessica.
He is also survived by his sister, Mary Jeffers (Jack Coffey), brother Bob (Sandra) Hussey, both of Marion Bridge; sister-in-law, Betty Moore; brothers-in-law, Walter Tingley, Duval (Linda) Tingley, Lester (Jenny) Tingley; aunts, Audrey MacDonald and Elva Eisenhaur, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by brother-in law Jeff Jeffers and sister-in law Doreen Hussey.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation for Jack will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the S W Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. A memorial service will take place 2 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Bethel United Church, Marion Bridge with Rev. Nancy Whitney Lathem officiating.
Reception to follow in the church hall.
