Passed peacefully away in Ottawa, Ontario, surrounded by family and friends. Leaving behind his loving wife of 53 years, Margaret (Hynes), sons Darryl and Dale (Trisha) and grandsons Steven, Kirk and William. Sisters-in-law, Lillian Stone (Doug), Doreen Michael (Ed), Sharon Collins (Brian Wareham) and Joan Hynes. Brother-in-law David Hynes (Gail) as well as many other family and friends in Toronto, London and Newfoundland. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service and inurnment is being planned for Gary and his sister-in-law Sharon Collins, who passed away on May 10, 2015. The time and date will be announced at a later date and published in the Telegram.
