JAMES, DEANNA JOSEPHINE
The passing of Deanna Josephine James of Fredericton, NB, wife of Robert James occurred on Monday, May 18, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 23, 1940 in Sillikers, NB, she was the daughter of the late Rayburn and Annie May (Silliker) Johnston.
Deanna grew up in a log cabin in the Miramichi; moving to Fredericton in 1958 where she met Robert, they then travelled with the military to several postings; at each posting she worked in various offices. She last worked for the Department of Social Services. During her travels she was especially fond of Paris. Deanna was an avid reader.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Sonya James-Paul (Charles) of Fredericton, NB and their children, Addison and Kahsie; son, Rob (Wendy) of Bridgewater, NS and their children, Bryannah and Bronté; great-grandchildren, Colton Doucet and Olivia Doucet and their father, Shawn Doucet; sister, Nina Nowlan (Osbourne) and brother, Lonnie Johnstone (Kathy) both of the Mirmamichi, NB; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Iris Stewart; brothers, James and Trevor Johnstone and infant brother, Keith.
Although there will be no visitation or service at this time; a Memorial Service will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick.
