Frederick 'Fred' Duncan Dickie

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Fred Dickie, of Gabarus on Sunday, May 17, 2015.
Born June 1, 1968, he was the son of Wayne and Nancy (Gray) Dickie.
For 26 years, Fred worked for Air Canada. He loved to fish and spend time with family and friends. Fred had a passion for travel and enjoyed travelling the world, but his compass always pointed him home to Gabarus. It is hard to name a place that he has not been. Fred had a laugh that would fill any room and he brought joy to all those who knew him.
Besides his parents, Fred is survived by his daughter, Eliza Marie Dickie and his loving companion, Raylene McIsaac and her children, Andrew and Erynn. He is also survived by his brother, Grant; sister, Mary (Shawn) Taylor and nieces, Robbi-Lynn, Emma and Grace.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Zion Wesley United Church, Gabarus Lake on Friday at 2 p.m., with Nancy Whitney-Latham, DLM officiating.
