Cyril Patrick Lahey

Born: May 16th, 1958

Passed in: Albert Bridge
Passed on: May 18th, 2015

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cyril Patrick Lahey on Monday, May 18, 2015.
Born on May 16, 1958, he was the son of the late Phillip and Catherine (Perry) Lahey.
Cyril will be forever missed by his family, especially, Gage, Rowan and Brody, his grandchildren, whom he loved deeply; children, Garett (Caelin) and Katelan (Ryan); his wife, Dawn; sisters, Sissy (his twin), Lucy, June, Beatrice, Patricia, Ruby, Edith and Doris; brothers, Wayne, Wallace, Donald, Morley, Clem, Roy and Bomber; and best friends, Chris and Karen Crocker.
Cyril loved his birth home of Main-a-Dieu and his home on the Mira River. We pray he is finally at peace and feels no more sadness. He was the most kind and gentle man, who loved the music of Stompin’ Tom and his furry companions, Tibo and Buddy. He enjoyed his yard and garden, as well as spending time with his family. "We love you Cyril."
Thank you to the Albert Bridge and Sydney Mines Fire Departments, the Coast Guard, Search and Rescue, Const. Phil MacNeil and the dive team for providing us the comfort of having him with us as soon as possible. To Linda and Ross, Irene and Frank for caring for his grandchildren at this time. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank our friends and family members for their endless love and support. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Cyril’s life will be held at his home on 105 Florence Lane, Albert Bridge at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 23.
Memorials may be made to Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia.
Words of comfort can be sent to the family at www.sydneymemorialchapel.ca or e-mail sydneymemorialchapel@ns.sympatico.ca.
