It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Hughie Frank McIsaac, age 60, of Joggins. Hughie passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, May 18, 2015.
Born in River Hebert East, NS, he was a son of the late Ronald and Agnes (Currie) McIsaac.
Hughie was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing and hunting. In his younger years he enjoyed playing baseball, and dancing. He was a member of the River Hebert Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #14. He always enjoyed time with family and friends, playing darts, cards, marbles, and crib. He loved a drink of Pepsi and a good Western novel.
He will be dearly missed by loving wife and lifelong companion Beverley, Joggins; son Carl (Paula Gabriel), Joggins; daughter Tammy (Lloyd Swan), Wentworth and daughter by choice, niece Amanda (Kyle) Purdy, Oxford, NS; grandchildren Adrianna, Matthew, Dolorian and grandchildren by choice Marisa and Josie; brothers Carl Linkletter, Joggins, and Bill McIsaac (Jean), Salmon River, NS; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Sasha
He was predeceased by sisters Jean Noiles, Carolyn Wilson and infant sister Brenda.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777). Cremation has taken place. Visiting hours will take place at Furlong~Joneses River Hebert Funeral Home, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place from Furlong Joneses Amherst location, 70 Church St. on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 2 pm, Rev. Clarence Clarke officiating. Burial will take place in the Hillside Cemetery, River Hebert, NS
