Christine Mailman
Christine "Chris" Anne Mailman (nee Mugford) was born in Caddington, England, on January 1, 1941. She entered Heaven's gates on May 20, 2015.
To her family and friends, she was a special, caring individual who touched the lives of those who were lucky to know her. Her wonderful sense of humor remained until her last breath. She will be deeply missed. A loving mother, and devoted widow, Christine was an intellectual who had a passion for all current events, sports and her family history. An individual of incredible strength, she gave generously to her community in her early years and in the recent years found joy through her two wonderful grandchildren and three step-grandchildren, and her love for watching all sports. Christine had a strong faith in God. She was a member of Zion Presbyterian Church where she was a long-time participant of the church choir where her father Royston was the organist.
Christine was predeceased by her loving husband, R.E. Peter Mailman. She was also predeceased by her sister, Madge Fraser, and step-sister, Estelle Mugford.
Christine is survived by her daughter, Patricia Smith, her sons, Peter (Lee) and Michael (Alison), grandchildren, Lucas and MacKenzie and step grandchildren, Yannick, Naomi and Ava.
Her sister, Hillary Woodford, lovingly assisted in caring for her the last 2 years of her life. The family gives her and her family, as well as the special friends Christine had at Waterview Heights, especially Yvonne Terry, their greatest gratitude.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where a funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, 25 2015 at 1 p.m. at Zion Presbyterian Church, 135 Prince Street, Charlottetown, P.E.I. Interment at Sherwood Cemetery, 355 Sherwood Road, Charlottetown.
