Passed peacefully away Wednesday, May 20, 2015. She was 95 years old, born in St. John’s to Robert and Edith Maunder on Dec 24, 1919. Ruby is predeceased by her parents, her husband of 53 years, Reginald Tucker, her sister Elizabeth MacLellan; brother, Robert Maunder; son-in-law John Whalen and great-grandchild Dominic Andrews. Her family, Judy Whalen of Ontario, Sybil (Harold Andrews) of St. John’s, Linda (Al Gurke) of BC and Lois Tucker of BC together with her four beloved grandchildren, Jonathan (Lilian) Whalen, Jeff (Jenna) Andrews, Darren (Aislinn) Andrews & Greg (Leia) Andrews and six great-grandchildren will miss her greatly. We would really like to express appreciation to Dr. McKim and the staff at Glenbrook Lodge for their wonderful care for our mom. Family and friends are invited to drop by Friday from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Funeral will take place from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Saturday, May 23 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at the General Protestant Cemetery.
