Florence Mary Wood
Florence Mary Wood, 78, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, May 22, 2015. Born in Kouchibouguac, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Kelly) MacDonald. Florence was a school teacher with 35 years’ of service. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, loved baking, especially for her friends and family, cooking, berry picking and making preserves, walking and being outdoors.
Florence will be sadly missed by her husband of 55 years, Douglas A. Wood; daughter, Heather Wood (Jim LeBlanc) of Riverview; sons, Craig Wood of Ottawa, ON and Stephen Wood (Judy) of Moncton; grandchildren, Megan, Kelsey, Kyle and Malcolm; sisters, Jessie, Frances and Vivian; brothers, Vince, Duncan and Perley; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Donna Beth, Thelma, Vera and Marion; brothers, Steven and Bill.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (Hildegard Dr.) on Monday, May 25, 2015 at 10:00 am, with Rev. Dr. Martin Kreplin officiating. Reception in the Church Atrium following the service. Interment, Knox Presbyterian Cemetery, Kouchibouguac.
