PIERCY, GERALD CECIL
Gerald C. Piercy of Harvey, NB passed away suddenly at his cottage on Magaguadavic Lake on May 23, 2015.
Gerry was born at St. Stephen, NB in 1946, son of Cecil and Marguerite (May) Piercy and lived in McAdam, NB until his marriage to Betty Swan in 1968. After their marriage they moved to Harvey Station where they operated a general store for several years. He was president of Harvey Heritage Association and a Past Master of Cherry Mountain Lodge #50. His greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (Swan) Piercy; his parents of McAdam, NB; his sons, Jeff (Monique), Moncton, NB and Greg (Martha), Woodstock, NB; his grandchildren, Jessica, Kaitlyn and Nicholas; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law in Betty’s family and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Masonic service will be held there Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 2412 Route 3, Harvey, NB on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ann Boudreau and Rev. Ellen Beairsto officiating. Interment will follow at Harvey Settlement Cemetery.
