It is with great sadness that the family of Roberta Maureen Blue age 68 of Amherst announce her sudden passing on Friday, May 22, 2015 at All Saints Hospital, Springhill, NS.
Born in Amherst she was a daughter of Marjorie (Henwood) “Blue” Kierstead of Amherst and the late Robert Blue.
Roberta is survived by her sons Douglas (Linda) Blue of Ottawa, ON, Michael (Danica) Blue of Arizona, USA and Gregory (Nova) Blue of Amherst, 11 grandchildren, 4 ½ great grandchildren, 5 brothers Ronald, Stephen and Andrew (Rose) all of Amherst, Charles (Pam) of Port Elgin, NB and Timothy of Moncton, NB, 2 sisters Marla Crowe of Hamilton, ON and Sheri (Trevor) Dill of Brookdale, NS.
Besides her father, Roberta was predeceased by the father of her 3 children, Russell MacLeod; her brother Terry and her step father Robert Kierstead.
Family and friends will gather at Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 7 – 9 p.m.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Amherst Cemetery with Rev. Raymond Fancy officiating.
Memorial donations in Roberta’s memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Canadian Diabetic Association or the charity of your choice.
