McLAUGHLIN, DOUGLAS ROBERT "BOBBY"
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Douglas Robert “Bobby” McLaughlin, 50, of Moncton, at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Centre, with his loving family at his side, on Saturday, May 23, 2015. Born in Moncton, Doug was the son of Douglas and Alexanderia “Sandy” McLaughlin of Riverview.
In addition to his parents, Doug is survived by one brother, David of Parkindale; one sister, Tammy Lynn Kingston (Aaron) of Douglastown, Miramichi; aunts, Kay Wilmot of Lower Coverdale and Sharon Crossman of Riverview; uncles, David Lutz of Tantallon, NS, Charles McLaughlin of Surrey, BC, Gerald McLaughlin of Yarmouth, NS and Allan McLaughlin of Halifax, NS; special cousin, Nona Ryan; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by aunts Annie Sprague and Ruth Cole, maternal grandparents, Henry and Bertha Lutz and paternal grandparents, Gerald and Freda McLaughlin.
Doug was employed by LA Siding and Construction installing vinyl siding and in the off season, he was employed on other constructions projects. He enjoyed listening to music, watching movies and socializing with his friends and family.
No visitation hours by personal request. A Service to celebrate Doug’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 1:30 pm, with Captain Leigh Ryan and Major Vida Ryan officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses of the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Centre for their excellent care and compassion and to Jamie, Adam and Paul for their friendship and assistance.
In Doug’s memory, donations to Moncton Salvation Army Citadel Community Church or a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
