SETO, FRED GENE WAN
At his home in Fredericton, Fred Seto passed away on Wednesday May 27, 2015 at the age of 82. Born in Kwong Tong, China, he was a son of the late Chong and Loy Fong (Hong) Seto.
Fred spent many years cooking for the Diplomat restaurant as well as other places. He was an avid reader, constantly keeping up with local and world events. Fred loved being with his family and especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was employed as a cook for all his life and was a very hard worker until he retired, but he always loved to cook for his family. He read constantly and knew everything going on in the world. He kept a journal every day. He was a very sweet man and will be missed greatly.
He is survived by his wife Betty; a son Bill Seto (Catherine Hughes Seto) of Fredericton; a daughter Helen Seto of Ottawa; three grandchildren Jarrett Seto of Vancouver, Mariah Seto of Fredericton, and Vanessa Voss (Jason Parsons) of Ottawa; two great grandchildren Milo Voss and Maisie Voss; a brother Philip Seto of Ottawa; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton on Sunday May 31, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm for visitation and a celebration of Fred’s life. A private family interment will be held at a later date. As an alternative to flowers, contributions to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
