GAUDET, LILIANNE
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lilianne Gaudet at the Dr. Georges-L Dumont University Hospital Centre on Friday, May 29th, 2015. She resided at the McNair Manor.
Born in August 17th, 1928 in Notre-Dame, she was the youngest of 16 children of the late Amédée and Rosalie (Bourgeois) Langis.
She received her diploma from Saint Louis de Kent Convent in 1947, and then completed her studies at Normale School in Fredericton. Returning to Moncton, she taught at Aberdeen, St Henri and Beauséjour schools until her retirement. She married her first husband Normand LeBlanc who passed away in 1995. She then married her second husband Ernest Gaudet. Ernest passed away in 2001.
She loved music, to travel, shop, play cards, read, go to restaurants and chauffeur her sisters. She had a kind heart.
She leaves to mourn three sisters: Blanche (feu Edgar) Leblanc (Moncton), Elise (feu Gérard) Léger (Azilda, Ont.), Oliva (Donat) Després (Moncton), her step children: Gérard (Isabelle) Gaudet, Robert (Janice) Gaudet, Lucille (Léonard) Bourque, Murielle (Donald) Belliveau, Lydia (Fred) Hollinger, Diane (John) Gillis, and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by: Germaine (feu Edgar), Lorette, Yvonne (feu Edgar) Gaudet, Albert (feu Madeleine), Valerie (feu Violette), Alphonse (feu Yvonne), Ernest, Henry (feu Cécile), Félix (Laurette), Alphée (feu Leona), Louis (feu Réjeanne), Yvon (feu Marie).
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Notre Dame de La Paix Church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton, NB on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 11:00 am
Donations in Lilianne’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton, NB (506) 852-3530. An online book of condolences is available to sign at www.fairhavenmemorial.ca
