Age 68, Hillside Boularderie, formerly of Grand Anse, husband, father, brother and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 29, 2015.
Gary’s love of people was visible to all who knew him. He was always willing to offer a helping hand whether he knew you personally or just happened to cross your path. A retired heavy equipment operator, he loved the outdoors, boating or just tinkering and repairing equipment. Those of us who had the pleasure of sharing his life knew him as a true friend, especially his four-legged friends and his cat Chipper.
Gary is survived by his soulmate, best friend and wife Margie (Delorey); his sons, Dennis (Margaret), Eastern Passage, Troy (Carmen), Digby, Garrett, Hillside Boularderie; daughters, Shelly (George), Middle Sackville, Tanya (Jamie), Portuguese Cove, Amanda (Brett), Calgary, Tanya, California, Karen (Kenny), Calgary, Crystal (Darren), Calgary; grandchildren, Logan, Courtney, Lindsey, Emma, Mackenzie, Joshua, Madison, Luca, Parker and Haley; brother, Major (Shirley), Orville; sisters, Olivia, Helma (Ulysse) and Dorothy (Leo). Also surviving are numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Gary was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Georgina Gullickson, sister Claudette; brothers-in-law, Bobby and Bert and sisters-in-law, Roberta and Judy.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m in the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 3, at 12 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
