Clarence James Andrew

ANDREW, Clarence James – 68, Bible Hill, passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, on Saturday evening, May 30, 2015, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born April 16, 1947, in Truro, he was a son of the late Raymond and Catherine (Taylor) Andrew. Clarence owned and operated Andrew Plumbing and Heating from 1971 – 2011, and had been plumbing since age 15. He was also an avid harness racing fan. Clarence is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Beatrice (Roode) Andrew; daughters, Karen Carrier (Van Michelin), Moncton, New Brunswick; Sharon (Ronnie) Rushton, Oromocto, New Brunswick; grandson, Benjamin “Ben” Rushton, who was the apple of his eye, and who affectionately called him “Boppa”; many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Bertha Kaulback and brother, Raymond Andrew. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Clarence’s family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2015. All are welcome to come and celebrate his life and share a story with us. Family flowers only. If so desired, donations in Clarence’s memory to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Lung Association of Nova Scotia are welcomed.
