James Edward Yorke age 86 of the Westville Rd. New Glasgow passed away on May 25th ,2015 at Vimy Court ,Bible Hill.
Born in Westville he was a son of the late Charles and Hilda (Harris) Yorke.
Jim was along time resident of Westville Rd.
He was a sheet metal worker by trade and finished his working career with Kerr Controls.
He was a member of Scotia Lodge #11 IOOF , Westville
He was Grand Master of the Atlantic Jurisdiction .
He was also Dept. Commander of the Patriarch Militant.
Jim will be sadly missed by his coffee buddies at the mall.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Jim is survived by nieces and nephews
He was predeceased by his wife the former Elaine Jackson
A brother Gordon and a nephew Joseph
Cremation has taken place.
A public graveside service for James and his wife Elaine whose remains have been cremated will be held in Christ Anglican Church Cemetery on Thursday at 6:30P.M. with Rev. Aidan Kingsbury officiating.
Donations in memory of Jim may be made to the Pictou County SPCA.
Arrangements are under the direction of the H.W.Angus Funeral Home.
