MUMMERY, BEULAH "BEA"
Beulah Marie “Bea” Mummery, age 87 of Windsor, Hants Co., died Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth, Hants County. Born on May 3, 1928 in Nictaux Falls, Annapolis County, she was the daughter of the late William Martin and Elsie Mildred (Falkenham) Johnson.
Bea was a Charter Member of the Windsor United Church Women’s (UCW) where she served 11 years as President and 16 years as Treasurer. She also served as President of the UCW of St. Andrews’s United Church, Halifax and Park Royal United Church, Prince Edward Island.
Bea is survived by her husband, John Philip Mummery; sons, Robert “ Bob” (Joyce) and J. Peter (Barbara) Mummery, both of Saint John, New Brunswick; daughter Patricia Mummery, Saskatoon, Sask.; grandsons, Tony (Jessica), Christopher and Darren Mummery, John Goodfellow and Landon Woodrow; granddaughters, Jennifer (Alex) Widmer and Stephanie (Jeff) Lewell, Serena Woodrow and Rebecca Goodfellow; sisters, Anne (Reg) Quinn, Margaretsville, Pat (Don) MacDonald, Bedford; sisters-in-law, Madeline Johnson, Nictau and Cecella Johnson, Dartmouth; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; her grandson, Alex Mummery; brothers, Joseph, Curtis, Donald and Gerald; sisters, Marguerite Martyn , Oral “Bonnie” Lindsay, Ada Johnson; Nellie Uhlman, sister-in-law Florence Johnson.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home (902-798-2232) 194 King Street, P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, B0N 2T0. Visitation will be held 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2015 in the funeral home chapel. Interment at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville at a later date.
Donations in memory of Bea may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Windsor United Church.
