Dennis Letwiniuk

Dennis Peter Letwiniuk, age 50, passed suddenly on Friday, May 1, 2015, in his home. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Tina, and their three children, Niko, Danitra, and Kaity. Dennis also leaves to cherish his memory, his father Peter Letwiniuk of Saskatoon; his sister Sheryl Deeg (David) of Lloydminster, Ab and their two children Chris (Anya) and Jesse Deeg, both from Saskatoon, Sk.; along with Kirby and Pauline Clarke of Swift Current; Shantal Heskett (David) of Fort MacMurray, Ab and their two children Mackenzie and Andrew; as well as his extended family including many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dennis is predeceased by his mother Kathleen Letwiniuk (Toews), his sister Shelley Ann, and his nephew Dallas Letwiniuk.

Dennis graduated from City Park High School in 1982, and then travelled Europe for a few months before deciding to attend the U of S from which he graduated with a major in Psychology, and a minor in History. It was there that he met Tina, and were later married in 1989 in Saskatoon. Moving to Swift Current in 1995, Dennis became known as the Culligan Man for southwest Saskatchewan, and then the face of Beachcomber Hot Tubs. Dennis loved spending time with Tina and their children, and family holidays were always a lot of fun.

Golf was Dennis's outside-of-work passion since his 20's, with his favourite course being the Saskatchewan Landing. As soon as golf season started, he would not only join his buddies for men's night, but he would also be the early-bird golfer on weekends. He loved being outdoors, and would look forward to the annual fishing trip with the boys. A sports enthusiast, he played football and hockey growing up, and enjoyed ball hockey as a young adult. Many times he would keep track of simultaneous games on TV, and still manage to make it back to Funniest Home Videos just as the commercial break was over.

Dennis's Memorial Service was held on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Iplex, with Pastor Dan Nickol directing. Family and friends stood up and remembered Dennis with smiles, laughter, and tears, and he will always be remembered for his sense of humour and endless pranks.

Donations in Dennis's memory can be made to the Southwest Youth Emergency Shelter, 12 - 201 Cheadle Street West, Swift Current, Sk. S9H 0A9. Warren's Funeral Home in Swift Current was entrusted with the arrangements. Visit their website at www.warrensfuneralhome.com to share your memories of Dennis in their book of condolences.
