It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cyril Gordon William Pennell announces his passing on Friday, May 29, 2015, at the Bonne Bay Health Center, NL, in his 64th year. Cyril leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Linda nee Payne of 42 years, his 3 children: Tammy Christopher Keough, Tracy Pennell-Payne, his grandchildren: Sarah Lynn Keough, Haley Elizabeth Keough, Ashton Slade Payne and Kendall Tammy Payne, his brother Derek (Sharron) Pennell, his parents Gordon and Mary Pennell and his mother and father-in-law Alonzo and Elizabeth Payne, sister-in-law Sherry (Brian) McKenzie, brothers-in-law: Morris (Sandra) Payne, and Lonnie (Elizabeth) Payne and special mention of his community family the Rocky Hr, Fire Brigade. The family will be receiving family and friends on Tuesday, June 2, 2015, from the hours of 7-9 pm continuing on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, from 2-4 and 7-9 at St. Matthews Anglican Church, Rocky Harbour, where also the funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at 2 pm with Reverend Cannon Louise Richards officiating, with the burial to follow at the St. Matthews Anglican Church Cemetery in Rocky Harbour. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Rocky Harbour Volunteer Fire Department in Cyril's memory.
