NOWLAN, JOHN
1942 - 2015
John Nowlan, 73, Grande-Digue and formerly of Moncton, passed away on Friday May 29, 2015 at the Moncton Hospital. Born on March 28, 1942 in Hamilton, ON, he was the son of Lionel Nowlan of Moncton and the late Yvonne (Cormier) Nowlan (2011).
John worked as a machinist for CNR. After his retirement, he was the neighbourhood Jack of All Trades, always willing to give a helping hand to any neighbor in need. He also enjoyed helping out his good friend Adrien at the Beechview Campground. He loved doing woodworking and carpentry.
Besides his father, he is survived his wife, Bernice (Landry) of Moncton; four sisters: Rosina Nowlan, Hélène Nowlan and Jacqueline Ermen (Craig), all of Moncton, and Germaine Hingst (Irvin) of Calgary, AB; one brother, Roger (Caroline) of Dieppe; one brother-in-law, Emery Léger of Ottawa, ON; seven special nieces and nephews: Natalie, Chantal, Nicole, Marc, Luc, Ashley and Michelle.
Besides his mother, he was predeceased by one sister, Géraldine.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ-Roi Roman Catholic Church, 300 Dominion Street, Moncton on Thursday June 4, 2015 at 10:30 am.
