DeVILLER, Frank William Reuben – age 87, The Meadows Home for Special Care, Yarmouth, formerly of Yarmouth, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at The Meadows. Born July 28, 1927 in Melbourne, he was a son of the late William and Lena (Deveau) DeViller. Frank was a lobster fisherman all of his working life, having owned and operated two boats throughout the years. He was a talented man, but was particularly good at carpentry. He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Lorraine M. (Landry) DeViller, as well as by their two daughters, Rebecca (Russell) Frotten, Yarmouth and Francine (Darren) Penney, North East Point, and grandchildren, Darren, Tyler and Jewel Penney. He is also survived by brothers, Ervin DeViller, Pinkney’s Point; Wallace (Florene) DeViller, Plymouth; Ernie (Connie) DeViller, Melbourne; Larry (Pauline) DeViller, Little River Harbour; sisters, Addie Doucette, Pinkney’s Point; Genevieve Allen, Ontario; Mathilde Dugas, Church Point; Corinne (Vernon) Jacquard, Wedgeport. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Lawrence, Stanley and Howard DeViller; sisters, Celina Frizzell and Evangeline Saulnier; half-brothers, William DeViller Jr., Edmond DeViller, Adolphe Deveau, Albany Deveau; half-sisters, Jeanette Aquaro and Rita Ryan. Visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 Tuesday with prayers at 8 p.m. at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. The funeral mass was held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 3 from Saint Ambrose Cathedral, Yarmouth, Father Gerald David officiated, Msgr. Gerald LeBlanc and Father Patrick O’Meara concelebrated. Interment followed in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth. It has been requested that there be family flowers only. Donations in Frank’s memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia.
