BOUDREAU, Michael Theodore “Mike” – age 88, Lower Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born January 11, 1927 in Wedgeport, he was a son of the late Michel and Evelina (Doucette) Boudreau. Mike began lobster fishing at a very young age and fished well into his eighties, having also worked in the Irish Moss industry. He enjoyed playing cards, but his true passion was working in his rock garden. He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Geraldine M. (LeBlanc) Boudreau, as well as by their children, Adrian (Paula) Boudreau, Wedgeport; Zelma (James) Jacquard, Wedgeport; Gordon (Lillie) Boudreau, Wedgeport/Fort MacMurray, AB and Paulette (Adrian) Cottreau, Wedgeport; grandchildren, Amy, Angele and José Jacquard, Luc Boudreau, Jacob and Joel Cottreau and Joline LeBlanc, as well as by two great grandchildren, Jessie and Joshua. Also surviving are sisters, Catherine (Eugene) Bourque and Estelle (Milton) Holden and a brother, Victor (Anne) Boudreau. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Wallace, Julius and Ted; sisters, Rosabelle, Margaret, Rita, Agnes and Bernice. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes & Crematorium. Visitation took place from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday evening, with prayers at 8 p.m., both at Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Wedgeport. The funeral mass was held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 5 from Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, Wedgeport, Father Albeni d’Entremont officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Donations in Mike’s memory may be made to the Yarmouth Hospital Foundation (Renal Dialysis Unit) or to Saint Michael’s Parish Cemetery.
