It is with great sadness that the families of Opal Jemima Payne nee Verge announce her passing at the Rufus Gunichard Health Centre in Port Saunders, on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2015, at the age of 95 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and precious memories her children: Archibald (Christine), Jean (Rex) Parsons, Otto (Nancy), Yvonne (Franklin) Pittman, Darrell, Aaron, Tony, Donna (Baxter) Osbourne, Cynthia (Richard) Caines, Curtis (Masre), Cadrick (Ellen), Kimberley (Brian), Gabriel (Mariam), her 38 grandchildren: Randy, Harvey, Ada, Brenda, Charlie, Stanley, Hajji, Mitch, Lorie, Franklin, Delano, Elvis, Marven, Conrad, Nicole, Deanna, Heather, Tyrone, Shane, Vicki, Angie, Christen, Adam, Darren, Damien, Conway, Mathias, Samuel, Thomas, Anastasia, Crystal, Charmaine, Kallon, Toby, Tad, Gavin, Samantha, Katie, her 55 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, her siblings: Alva Hutching, Alma (Eric) House, Donald Verge, & Almeda Thornhill, her brother-in-law: Wallace Maynard and daughter-in-law: Sharon, other family members: Elsie, Wanda, & Michell and her home care workers: Candare & Jackie, mother was predeceased by her husband: Arthur, son: Ivan, parents: Margaret & Enos Verge, sister: Emma Maynard, brothers-in-law: Stedman Hutching, & Samuel Thornhill sister-in-law: Philamino Verge, 1 granddaughter-in-law, 3 great-grandchildren, also leaving to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other realtives, extended family and friends. The family will be receiving family and friends at St. Peter's Anglican Church in Parsons Pond, NL, on Friday, June 5, 2015, 7-9 pm and continuing on Saturday, June 6, 2015, from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where also the Funeral servcie will take from on Sunday, June, 2015, at 4 pm with Rev: Terry Rose officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of the church cemetery in Parsons Pond, NL.
