MacISAAC, John Leonard – age 65. It is with a deeply broken heart I announce the passing of the love of my life on June 4, 2015 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Charlottetown PEI on July 23, 1949 he was a son to the late Ronald Alexander (Sandy) MacIsaac and Mary Elizabeth (Berrigan) MacIsaac. John had an extensive career in the construction industry across Canada, and was held in high regard by all he was employed by. Meticulous by nature, he was inspired by his mentor, Norman MacLauchlan, PEng at CBCL Engineering to do things correctly the first time, so there would be no second times, take no short cuts. This work ethic and attention to detail followed John throughout his successful career. He was a devoted friend of Bill W. John had a great love of his pets, music, cars, and guitars. He will be missed by his cats Hedley and Odin. He is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years, Kendra (Woodworth); daughter, Mary Ellen (James); grandchildren, Daniel and Brianna ,Edmonton; daughter, Tracy (Mike), Edmonton; son, Sean (His mother Maryse), Ottawa; son, Trent (Angie); grandchildren, Jake and Katie, Saskatchewan; brother, Ronald (Shirley), PEI; brothers-in-law, Gregory (Karen) Woodworth; Shawn (Tammy) Woodworth; sisters-in-law, Shelly (Barry) Briand; Nadine (Richard) LeBlanc; nieces, Anna and Julia Gates; nephews, Jeffrey Woodworth, Kenny (Tammy) Pothier, Luke Woodworth; Etienne (Amy) LeGresley, Wyatt Gates, Dr. Aaron LeBlanc and Jeff LeBlanc. He was predeceased by a brother in infancy. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Sunday, June 7, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 7:30 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral mass will be held Monday, June 8, 2015 at 2 p.m. from Saint Ambrose Cathedral, Father Gerald David and Rev. John Symonds officiated. Interment will take place at a later date. A reception will follow the funeral mass in the Saint Ambrose Jubilee Room. In lieu of flowers donations in John’s memory may be made to the Friends of TNR, Yarmouth.
