CHAPMAN, JAMES "JIM"
Mr. James "Jim" Maurice Chapman, age 61 years, passed away in the comfort of his own home on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. Jim was born in Rothesay, New Brunswick on June 9, 1953 to Maurice and Elizabeth Chapman. Jim moved to Thunder Bay, Ontario in 1975 where he met and married Catherine Lebarron in 1976.
A welder by trade Jim initially worked in forestry before being employed by various fabricating shops where he worked for over 25 years. A handyman, Jim spent many hours in his workshop. Always organized, you would never find a tool out of place. He truly enjoyed spending time camping at Northern Light Lake where he developed many long lasting friendships and was provided the opportunity to enjoy his love of fishing.
Jim will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his wife Cathy, children Kevin (Genevieve Belzile) and Beverly (Rick) Gashinski, sisters, Mary Radamsky and Margaret (Jack) Winchester as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives including uncle Bob.
He was predeceased by his parents.
A service to celebrate the life of Jim Chapman was held in Thunder Bay on April 11th.
As expressions of sympathy memorials to the LHSC - Epilepsy Unit were appreciated.
