The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital, Sunday, June 7, 2015, of Kenneth “Ken” Roy Wilson of Portage, aged 67. Ken was born in Mount Pleasant, Jan. 18, 1948, son of the late William and Bella (Campbell) Wilson. Father to Kenny (Angela Gaudet), British Columbia; Lana (Jamie Levenshulme), Sussex, N.B.; Bella (Donald) Buchanan, Carleton Lot 6; and Terrence (Paula Peters), Summerside. Grandfather to Haley, Damen, Samantha and Jacob Wilson, Sammy-Joe and Daniel Deziel, Sarah Buchanan, Paige Ramsay, Hayden, Savannah and Hannah Callaghan, Ellie Wilson and six great-grandchildren. Ken is survived by brothers and sisters: Hilton (Rita) Wilson, St. Eleanors, Loman, Richmond; Gary (Freda), Inverness; Lila (Norman) Tracy, St Stephen, N.B.; Raymond (Marlene), Roxbury; Linda (Edward) Rayner, Richmond; Pearl (Warren) Gillis, Ellerslie; Irvin (Sheila), Mount Pleasant; sister-in-law Bertha Adams, Charlottetown, and brother-in-law Edison Coughlin, Tyne Valley. Predeceased by his parents, sisters and brothers, Marjorie, Phyllis, Shirley, Frederick, Blanche and George in infancy. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Wednesday in the chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in the Peoples Cemetery, Victoria West. In memory of Ken, memorials to the O’Leary United Church would be appreciated.
