It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Alexander Roy MacDonald Campbell at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, on Thursday, June 5th, 2015, at the age of 86 years. Roy will be forever remembered as a gentle, family oriented man who loved woodworking and salmon fishing. Roy leaves to mourn his children: Bernard (Gloria) of Pasadena, Paul (Lynn ) of Pinchgut Lake and Susan (Gerry) Wells of Deer Lake, grandchildren Sonia (Perry) Campbell of Yellowknife, Jason (Lan) of Ontario and Robert Wells of Deer Lake, great-grandchildren Justin, Sarah Campbell of Yellowknife, Lana and Song and Silas of Ontario, sisters: Hazel Manuel of Corner Brook, Daisy Laramore of Ontario, Shirley (Eric) Luther of Ontario, Renee Caines of Deer Lake, Sister and brothers-in-law: Daisy Campbell (Ontario), John Shiner (Deer Lake), Dulcie Parsons (Ontario), Grace (Jabez Critch) of Pasadena, Harold " Smokey ", Ward Jr. (Ramona)Ball, Eleanor Ball of Deer Lake,and Ivan (Gareen)of Kitimat, B.C. Roy was predeceased by his loving wife Mona, his mother and father Kenneth and Ada Campbell, his mother and father-in-law Ward and Dulcie Ball and his sisters, brothers and in-laws: Scott, Murray (Bessie), Jack (Beatrice), Mollie (Stan), Betty (George), Gwen, Kenneth Jr., Sandy, Tom, Harvey, Cecil, Rowena, Ralph (Eileen) and Dempsey (Yvonne). Visitation will take place from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel , 63 North Main, Deer Lake on Sunday, June 7th, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place from the Salvation Army Church in Deer Lake on Monday at 2 pm with Major Wayne & Betty Ann Pike officiating. Interment will follow at the family plot in the Interdenominational Cemetery in Deer Lake.
