It is with great sadness and love that the children of Lea Dagenais wish to announce the passing of our mother. Mom passed away peacefully in the arms of her children Saturday May 9, 2015. It is with love that we now place her in the arms of Our Lord Jesus Christ for safe keeping. Lea was born to Joseph and Georgina Casavant on July 28, 1929, on the family farm in Marcelin, SK, where she was raised and attended school. She was married to Albert Dagenais on June 7, 1949 in Marcelin, and later divorced in 1981. They adopted Michelle (Marguerite) in 1952 with six more children to follow. Lea loved all of her children and enjoyed the company of her brothers and sisters when visiting. Lea is survived by: her children Michelle (Marguerite) (Nathan) Lemon of Coquitlam, BC, Marcel (Joanna) Dagenais of Prince Albert, Louise (Christopher) Lavers of Edmonton, AB, Laurie (Henry) St. Louis of Cold Lake, AB, Susan (Garry) Walker of Edmonton, Lisa Braun (Rick Mitchell) of Prince Albert, David (Leslie) Dagenais of Chilliwack, BC; her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sisters Irene Pollard, Leona (Boris) Horychune; her brothers Wilfred Casavant, Andrew (Marie) Casavant, Eugene (Bertha) Casavant; her brother-in-law Robert Pampu. She was predeceased by: her father Joseph Hector Casavant; her mother Georgina Casavant (nee Brunett); her infant sister Helene Marie Delia; her brother Lucien Casavant 8 years of age; her brother Paul Casavant and sister-in-law Doris Casavant; her sister Florida Pompu (nee Casavant); her brother Leon Casavant and sister-in-law Wilma Casavant (nee Ouellette); her brother-in-law Michel Pollard. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 15 at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens with Father Herve Vallee officiating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of RIVER PARK MEMORIAL CHAPEL, Prince Albert, 306 764-2727, Colette Kadziolka, Funeral Director.
