NEW GLASGOW - Lollie Dunbar, New Glasgow, formerly of MacLellan’s Brook, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Vernon Robert and Isabel (MacLeod) Beck. Prior to retirement, Lollie was employed for many years with Crossroads Country Market, Coalburn. She was a loving, kind hearted lady, who put her friends and family ahead of herself. Lollie often stated that she was blessed to have been friends with the “golden girls”, for over 40 years. She shared a close bond with her siblings and dearly adored her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Robert T. “Bob” Dunbar; sons, Brad (Susan) Dunbar, New Glasgow; Mark (Brenda) Dunbar, Newport; grandchildren, Cassidy, Carson, Ryan and Chloe; siblings, Dwina (Bill) Wright, Dawn (Ted) August, Calgary, Alta.; Vernon (Sandra) Beck, Oshawa, Ont.; Roy (Margie) Beck, New Glasgow; Judy (John) Hoopingarner, Austin, Tex.; Cathy (George) Fraser, Calgary; numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. In honor of Lollie’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held.
