Jackson Fowler

Born: February 25th, 1995

Passed in: Kentville, Canada
Passed on: June 3rd, 2015

FOWLER, Jackson Lawrence - age 20, Kingston, Kings Co. Jackson sadly struggled with mental health issues; most dominant was his severe depression for many years of his short life. With the love of his family, he tried all available avenues for support and various out reach programs; but with the lack of proper resources "the system" was fleeting at best and sadly he fell through the cracks. Jackson struggled daily to make his happier days last, but on this fateful day he lost the fight to keep his deep darkness at bay and wanted the pain of his struggle to stop. Seeing no other solace from his pain, he had sadly chosen to end his own life, Wednesday, June 3rd, 2015. He did not do this out of selfishness or of a need to hurt anyone; he loved us all and knew that he was loved. We were what was keeping him together; yet it wasn't enough and he needed more, but there was not enough help available here to do that. He is now at peace, no longer hurting anymore, and with that in mind his name will live on and his story will be told. His death is not an ending, but the beginning of a loving legacy. Depression is not something to "shove under the carpet" it needs to be recognized and dealt with accordantly and with compassion. So many people of all ages, suffer from depression and don't know where to turn for help without the stigma of judgment. In Jackson's memory it is time for that to change! Jackson Lawrence Fowler Born of February 25, 1995, in Kentville, he was the son of Laura A Fowler, Kingston; Brother of Shynel M Fowler, Kingston; Grandson to Jack and Nancy Fowler, Kingston; Fiancee to Chelsea Trahan, Kingston. My condolences to you and your family. Jackson enjoyed playing Roblox on his computer having 5000 followers and friends. He was a great inspiration; a true genius! He was respected and irreplaceable. He loved camping, survival, fishing, hiking, spending time in the woods and walking along the beach. Jackson loved the time he spent with his fiancee Chelsea, whom he truly loved and was truly loved by. Jackson was loving, caring, artistic, creative, and mature beyond his years. He saw the world for what it truly was and saw the good and the bad in people; but he never judged others and only voiced his opinion. He was honest and strong about his convictions and thoughts, and one day would have made a great leader for others. Even though his physical body is no longer here, his voice will truly go on forever! We all know someone like Jackson; we are asking that if you would like to donate please give to the Canadian Mental Health Association, in the memory of Jackson Lawrence Fowler. His tissues and organs were donated, to help others and aid in research. He will then be cremated and at a later date, his ashes will be scattered in Margaretsville Bay along with the ashes of his favorite dog Sasha, during which time there will be a bonfire celebration of his life. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448. On-line guest book may be signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
