We, the family of Marion Ivy Williamson, regret to announce her passing Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Celtic Court, Sydney, with her loving family by her side.
Born Dec. 9, 1936, in Clarenville, Nfld., she was a daughter of the late James and Laura (Harnum) Pitcher.
Ivy was formerly employed with Woolco, from which she retired and was a member of Club 55 and the pensioner’s dart club. She enjoyed spending time with family doing crafts and hobbies.
Surviving are her husband, Cyril; daughters, Brenda Williamson (Rod Watkins), Albert Bridge and Susan Williamson (Wayne MacIntyre), Sackville; brother, Malcolm, Moncton, N.B.; grandchildren, Christa (Tommy) Trainor, Lindsey, Jessica and Cyril MacDonald, Alicia, Caleb, Breanna and Dakota Lloyd and three great-grandchildren.
Ivy was predeceased by her brothers, Donald and Harold, as well as twin sisters and a brother in infancy.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday 1 p.m., with Rev. Dana Feltmate officiating. Interment in Alfred Smith Cemetery.
The family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff of Scotia Lane at Celtic Court for the excellent care and compassion provided to Ivy.
