It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Francis Andrew ‘Muldoon’ Dennis, 63 of Eskasoni at home on June 6, 2015.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Jane (Battiste) Dennis.
Francis was a medical driver for many years as well as a part time carpenter and woodsman. He enjoyed watching hockey, playing baseball and was a really good pool player.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian Marshall; daughters, Marjorie (Louis) Marshall, Cheryl (Lorraine) Marshall, Annie K. Marshall, Courtney (John) Dennis, Maddy Dennis, Lena Dennis; sons, Francis Dennis Jr., Benjamin (Melanie) Dennis, Andrew (Jessica) Dennis; sisters, Lena Joe, Mabel (Mike), Paula, Joyce, Wendy, Peggy (Larry), Glenda (Jeff), Andrea, Tabitha (Charles), Robin, Vickie (Simon), Dawn (Paddy), Brenna (Hubert), Melanie; brothers, Clayton (Catherine), Dale, Lyndon, Perry (Mary Lou), Christopher; 28 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; uncle, Fredrick Battiste,; godchildren, Christopher (Burr) and John Newell and by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased brothers, Joe Noel, Anthanius, Stephen, Perry and sister, Denise.
Visitation for the late Mr. Dennis will start after 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 11th at the Gabriel Center, Eskasoni. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church with Rev. Martin MacDougall officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery, Eskasoni.
