Peacefully, with his family at his side, at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 of Walter Ivan MacIntyre, of Mount Herbert, age 78 years.
Devoted husband of Linda MacIntyre (nee Carruthers); loving father of Vernon (Carmen), Angela Blanchard (Shawn) and Jennifer Ghiz (Peter). Loved and never forgotten by his beautiful granddaughters, Veronica and Rebecca MacIntyre, Katie and Anna Blanchard, Sadie Ghiz; and his beloved grandson, Nathan Ghiz. Also remembered by his granddaughters, Dominique and Erica Duguay and their father, Richard. Survived by his sisters, Maureen Clark (Merrill - deceased), Marie Jackson (Murray - deceased), Marlene MacIntyre , Gloria Bruce (Loyde), Dianne MacLean (Frank) and Joanne Allen (Bill - deceased).
Walter was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Alice (nee Lund) MacIntyre, sister, Judy, and brother, Donald, in infancy.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 3:30 - 6 p.m. followed by a memorial tribute at the Stratford Chapel, Hillsboro Funeral Home. Interment to take place later at the People’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Provincial Palliative Care Centre would be appreciated.
