It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Evelyn May Soderlund (nee Williams) on June 6th, 2015. She has escaped the bondage of pain and gone to join her loved ones.

She is predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Cyril Soderlund; her mother Ethel Williams (nee Mullens), father Bob Williams, brothers Mick (Elsie) and Jack (Adrienne), as well as her sister Doreen (Alfred) and many loving friends. Evelyn is survived by her sons Wayne (Donna) and Dennis (Linda), as well as her daughter Penny. They grieve the passing of their mother, but rest assured that she was able to join the love of her life, their father. She is also survived by her last remaining sibling, Myrtle (Hugh.) She will be missed by her grandchildren Melanie (Troy), Christy and Lisa as well as her great grandchildren; Savannah, Dayton, Emilie and Riana. Her many nieces and nephews, as well as other family members feel her loss. She will be interred with her husband on Friday June 12th at the South Hill Cemetery at 2:45 pm.

The family would like to thank the 5th floor staff at the Royal Victoria Hospital for their compassionate care of both our mother and our family during this trying time. We are also grateful for the consummate care of her physician Dr. Mark Halyk.
