DEMILLE, WILLIAM (BILL)
It is with sadness that we announce the death of William (Bill) James DeMille of Orchard View Nursing Home in Gagetown, New Brunswick. Bill was born in Oshawa Ontario in 1940.

After graduating from high school Bill had a varied career. He was a member of a rock band playing the steel guitar. Bill worked as a cook in a camp for two hundred men in the north. He also enjoyed being a successful Electrolux vacuum salesman for many years. He was quite proud of selling three vacuums a week.

It is unknown what brought Bill to New Brunswick where he sustained an injury which left him in a coma for three months. As a result he was confined to a wheelchair with speech disabilities.

Bill has been a resident of Orchard View for ten years. He has been a very friendly outgoing person who loved to greet all with a ready handshake and a beautiful smile. Bill always enjoyed the attention, care and love he received from his caregivers at Orchard View.

Bill had a family of four sons, David, Jean, Stephen and Shawn. Jean died in infancy due to a heart condition.

Bill is also survived by his many friends and care givers at Orchard View who became his family and by special friend, Judy Anne Breen.

Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Sunday, June 14th, 2015 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon followed by the Funeral Service at 12:00 noon. Rev. Sandra Hounsell-Drover will officiate. Interment will take place in the Cedar Hill Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
