The death occurred at the Community Hospital, O'Leary, Palliative Care Unit on Friday, June 12, 2015, of Shirley Etta MacIsaac, aged 93 years, wife of the late Ralph MacIsaac. Born in West Cape on April 28, 1922, daughter of the late Melvin and Elizabeth (Harris) Ellis. Cherished mother to Kathleen MacWilliam, Milburn; Leslie (Joyce) MacIsaac, Scarborough, ON; Beverly (Haldane) Frizzell, Calgary, AB; Cynthia (Rickey) Burns, Charlottetown; Sandra (Wavell) Sabine, Summerside; and daughter-in-law Betty MacIsaac, Crediton, ON. Dear grandmother to 24 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Shirley is also survived by brothers Thiren (Shirley) Ellis, O'Leary; Aubrey (Myrna) Ellis, Richmond Hill, ON; and sisters-in-law Greta Ellis, O'Leary, and Jessie, Summerside, and many special nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Melvin (1959) and Elizabeth (1990), husband Ralph (1981), son Norman MacIsaac (1990), son-in-law Roy MacWilliam (2007), grandson Norman MacWilliam (2010), great-granddaughter Crystal MacIsaac (1982), and brothers Milford Ellis (1982) and Lorne Ellis (1994). Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O¹Leary, with complete arrangements announced later. Interment will follow in Springfield West Baptist Cemetery. In memory of Shirley, memorials to Springfield West Baptist Cemetery Fund, Milburn United Cemetery or Community Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
