Elizabeth "Betty" Graham

GRAHAM, ELIZABETH "BETTY" MARGARET
With great sadness, the death of Betty Graham occurred on Friday, June 12, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born January 3, 1926 in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Richmond and Elizabeth (Gorman) Grannan.
Betty was active in her community as a member of Hospice Saint John, St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary, PROBUS, and FSNA, and a past member of St. Rose CWL. She loved spending time with her coffee club friends and competed in Seniors Games. Betty was proud of her Irish heritage and was very vibrant and had a great joy of life and love of people. She was a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother, and her legacy will live on through them all.
Betty will be missed by her children: John (Charlene Fitzgerald) of Goose Bay, Patrick (Angie) of Saint John, Alastair (Kimberley) of Saint John, James (Margaret) of Glace Bay, Mary Beth Doiron (Daryl) of Edmonton, and Paul (Sue) of Saint John; grandchildren: Daniel, David, Sophia, Caroline, Erin, Ashley, AJ, Jonathan, Colin, Kristine, Michelle, and Patricia; honourary granddaughter, Ashley; brothers: James Grannan (Mary) of Rothesay, Dick Grannan (Maureen) of Scarborough, and Patrick Grannan (Judy) of Rothesay; sister, Marianne Grannan of Montreal; sister-in-law, Janice Grannan Pearce; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Paul; brothers-in-law Senator Alasdair Graham and Father John Graham; and sister-in-law Jean Graham.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from 3 to 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 11 am from St. Pius X Church. Interment will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 11 am in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
