RAFUSE, Stephen John – age 61, Waterville, Kings Co., passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2015, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Berwick, on March 4, 1954, he was a son of Harold Rafuse, Waterville and the late Lena (Lutz) Rafuse. Stephen had been a resident at the Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre, Waterville for about 40 years and had been a long time towel folder. He was well known for his good sense of humour and loved to be teased. Stephen will be remembered at the Centre for his usual big grin. Besides his father, he is survived by sister, Marla (Gayle Ogilvie) Rafuse, Lower Branch, Lunenburg Co.; brother, Donald Rafuse, Cambridge, Kings Co.; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation was held 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, in the Waterville Baptist Church, 1243 Mill St., Waterville, from where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 17. Pastor Christina Bigelow officiated, and a reception followed. Interment was in the Berwick Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made to the Apple Tree Foundation or to the Waterville Baptist Church.
