Ila Florence MacKinnon, 91, of Howie Centre passed away on May 30, 2015 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Originally from Cape North, she was the daughter of the late Rod and Rada (MacLeod) MacKinnon. Ila worked most of her life in Boston as a nurse and returned to Cape Breton upon her retirement.
She was predeceased by sister, Betty Worth; brother, Melvin MacKinnon and brother, Ian MacKinnon.
She is survived by niece, Ila Worth and nephew, Wesley Worth.
There was no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place and a committal service will be held at a later date at Cape North Cemetery.
