Curtis Irwin Brown

It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Curtis Irwin Brown, age 75, of Oxford. Curtis passed away after a short battle with Cancer at the Dr. Georges L. DuMont Hospital, Moncton on Monday, June 15, 2015.
Born in Wentworth, NS, he was a son of the late Prescott and Freda (Redmond) Brown.
Curtis loved country music and enjoyed going to every Music Jam he could make it to. He enjoyed getting up and dancing at the Jams when the mood struck him . He always looked forward to sharing a cup of coffee with his many friends.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter Kimberly (Willaim Mayne) Miers, Oxford; son David (Laurie) Brown, Oxford; 4 grandchildren, Steven Rushton, Michelle Embree, Nate Brown, and Jerrett Rushton; 1 great granddaughter Summer Embree; brothers Donald (Jean) , Wentworth, N.S. , Kenneth, Sudbury, ON; sisters Ruth Vincent, Stoney Creek, ON, Linda (James) Craig Ancaster, ON. He was predeceased by his wife Eleanor (Craig) Brown; sister Lila Tuttle, Hamilton ON.
Arrangements have been entrusted to W. Allen Funeral Home, 60 Water St., Oxford, NS, (902-447-2167) where visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm. The Celebration of Life will take place at W. Allen Funeral Home on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 2 pm, followed by a light lunch.
