CARD OF THANKS
We, the children of the late Alexander and Margaret Calder, would like to extend a sincere thank you to our extended family, friends and neighbours for their kind wishes and support over the last few months. Your encouraging words, your phone calls, cards and the generous gifts of food all meant so much to us during our difficult time. A very special thank you to members of the Royal Canadian Legion, who honoured Dad’s service in the Second World War and presented the family with a keepsake flag; to members of the Masonic Lodge, who also honoured Dad’s memory with a special service; to Gary Grant for officiating two lovely Celebrations of Life; to Wayne Weatherbee and the wonderful staff Sydney Memorial Chapel for their compassion and professionalism; to the many residents and staff of Parkland Cape Breton; to Shane MacSween, recreation coordinator at Parkland, who was so great with Mom and Dad as they enjoyed their final years; and to the many doctors, nurses and support workers – especially those in the Palliative Care unit of the Regional Hospital – who helped care for Mom and Dad. We are forever grateful to you all and your kindness will never be forgotten.
