Shelda McVey, 60, of Kensington, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at the Prince County Hospital Summerside. Born on April 27, 1955 in Kitimat, British Columbia. Dear daughter of Andre and Eleanor Theriault of Perth, Ontario. Loving mother of four children, son James and wife Sarah Paterson of Stratford, PEI, daughters Laura Morneau and partner Mark Fisher of Charlottetown, PEI, Samantha Morneau and partner Elanie Kifle of London, Ontario and Allison Morneau and partner Logan Christensen of Calgary, Alberta. Grandmother to Shaelyn, Alexa, Ethan and Cash. Sister of Diane, Maureen and Bruce. Partner of Brian MacKay, Darnley, PEI. A potluck dinner to celebrate Shelda’s life was held on Wednesday, June 17th at the Kensington Legion, 88 Victoria St, Kensington. The family wishes to extend their gratitude for the support and generosity of Shelda’s co-workers at Old Dutch Foods, friends far and near, as well as Dr. Vickerson and the staff at the PrinceCounty Hospital. Donations in Shelda’s name may be made to The Upper Room Hospitality Ministry or the Anderson House.
