CREAMER, ROBERT A.
It is with great sadness the family announce the death of Robert “Bob” Creamer of Saint John who passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, June 17th. Born in Saint John in January of 1931, he was the son of the late David and Mae (Aresenault) Creamer.
Bob was the owner and operator of the Pennfield Take-Out for over 20 years and ran the concession stand at Rockwood Park Golf Course. He was a Meat Cutter and worked for Taylors meats for over 37 years. Bob’s favorite pastime was a spirited game of cards with his family, from crib to auction he enjoyed them all. He was famous for saying “The Lord Is My Sheperd” and he lived his life that way. You could also occasionally see him on the road to Moncton to visit the casino.
Devoted Father, Husband, Grampy, Great “Grumpy”, Brother, Uncle Bobby and Friend. Bob is survived by his children Connie Daley (Mike) of Summerside, PEI, Jack (Pamela) of Saint John, Joan Barriault (Peter) of Musquash and Rob (Kate) of Toronto, ON; brothers Donald (Gloria) of Saint John, Thomas (Carol) of Calgary, AB and Ralph; sister Jean Nichols (Pete) both of Ontario; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his parents Robert was predeceased by his devoted wife Connie in 2004 and brothers David, Norman and Gordon; sisters Erma Creamer and Dorothy Perry and grandson Jeremy Daley.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) visitation will be held on Saturday, June 20th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday June 21st from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 21 Canon Street on Monday, June 22nd at 12 noon. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Donations in Bob’s memory can be made to the Cathedral Restoration Fund or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
