Audrey Russell
Audrey Grace Russell, age 86 of New Glasgow, NS passed away at home on June 18, 2015.
Audrey passed away as she had lived with Dignity and Grace. Born in Truro, NS she was the youngest of 12 children of John and Etta (nee Grue) Fielding. Audrey was a graduate (1947) of the Truro Provincial Normal School and taught for 35 years in Colchester, Halifax and Pictou counties, retiring from Temperance Street School, New Glasgow.
Audrey is survived by son Michael, and daughters Heather (Keith McLeod), Judy Clattenburg (Wade), Grandchildren Sandra Carver (Ben Carver 2014), Charles Russell (Mary Ann Walsh), Gerald Russell (Ann Marie Baker), Shelby Clattenburg and Great Grandchildren Austin, Alex, Miranda, Emma, Kayla and Jayden as well as many nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by son Daniel, daughter in law Phyllis, Sisters Elsie, Lillian, Elizabeth, Eileen, Hazel and Glennie as well as Brothers Alfred, Ernest, Charles and Jackie and Carl.
Audrey was blessed with a lot of great friends Lois, Margie, Margaret, Faye, Nancy and Kenneth to name but a few, who visited regularly and she so enjoyed there company and they hers. Very special thanks to Lois Kennedy who gave loving care, support and friendship to Audrey and was there with her right to the end. Special Thanks to Dr Hack, Dr. Farrow and the VON service who were very caring and supportive and made it possible for Audrey to remain at home.
To honour Audrey’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Tuesday , June 23 at 1 pm until funeral service at 2 pm both in D.S. Crowell & Son Funeral Home, 22558 Highway 7, Sheet Harbour, Rev. Jim Webber-Cook officiating. Burial to follow in St. James United Cemetery, Sheet Harbour. Following the burial a Celebration of Life will be held at 32 Helpard Lane, Watt Section
