McGARITY, PHYLLIS
Mrs. Phyllis McGarity of Cambridge Narrows, passed away on June 20, 2015 at the age of 83. Born in Johnville she was the daughter of the late Murray and Lillian (Pring) Pickett and the wife of the late Everett McGarity.
Phyllis is survived by four daughters: Irene Lewis (Gordon), Linda Wagstaff (John), Doris Garland (Terry), Georgetta Goddard (Peter); her son, Fred (Betty); two sisters: Gweyn Rogne (Bill McElroy), Vera Smith, her brother Murray (Phyllis), her step-brother, Norman Pollock (Lorraine); as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren nieces and nephews.
Phyllis is predeceased by her husband Everett in 2011, five brothers, Fred, Bob, Don, Frank and Allen, by her sisters, Eileen Noel, Isabel Secord; her step-sisters: Charlotte Pickett, Marie Hodgen. Frances Carr, Winnie Bradshaw, Dorothy Hayes and Betty Taylor; and by her step-brother, Ronald Pollock.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. A service celebrating Mrs. McGarity’s life will be held from Cambridge Narrows Anglican Church on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 2:30pm.
