Morris, George Allan “Sliver” – 72, Truro passed away on June 22, 2015 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, following a brief illness. Born in Truro, he was the son of the late Marguerite Morris. George worked at drywall in Halifax and Truro prior to coming to work at Stanfield’s Ltd. for 30 years. In younger years, he loved hunting and fishing and could always have a conversation with anyone he met. He was well liked and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. George is survived by his sister, Vivian McNutt, Harmony; brother, Reginald Morris, Lower Sackville; several nieces and nephews. Besides his mother, he was predeceased by sister, Pauline McLeod; brother, Donald and a brother, Basil in infancy. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 1 pm until time of the funeral service at 2 pm, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Ken Fillmore officiating. Interment in Belmont Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the IWK Children’s Hospital or a charity of choice.
